Search And Try Our Ways: Turn
Leviticus 11:44 For I am the Lord your God; ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy. Jeremiah 17:9 the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it? Lamentation 3:40 let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord.
It’s time we search out our ways and see if they are pleasing to God or not. God says to us today to consider our ways. We don’t have a right to sin; we have a right to choose to do right. Don’t be sorrowful because the Word of God says one thing that brings guilt or shame upon us. Job asked how many are mine iniquities and sins: make me to know my transgression and my sin. Do we ever ask God to show us; us? We have to start now to commune with our own hearts, be still and see the salvation of God. David said in Psalm 139:23 said search me, O God and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts and see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. When are we going to go back to God and search ourselves and let God commune with our hearths and spirit that we may do a diligent search:
The way of holiness, the state or quality of being holy; perfect moral integrity or purity; freedom from sin, sanctity means we are wholly consecrated to God’s service. Holiness is the gift of God through the mediation of Christ. Everything dedicated to God partakes, in a certain manner of His holiness. Holiness signifies that every though of man, every emotion, every act, every deed, yes all that combines to make up one’s life is determined by the will of God. When we walk in the way of holiness we take all those things that had us bound, burdened and shackled in worldly lusts and the chains of flesh is dropped off and cast into the sea of forgiveness. We are free and the new man has been put on where we can walk in the divine grace of God. This divine grace comes of God through Christ, and man must seize this proffered hand of God, using this sanctifying means of grace with the assistance of God for perfecting his state of purity.
There is a way of conducting oneself in righteousness. First we must understand the error of our way and be cleansed from our secret faults. We must stand in awe and sin not. It’s time we as a people, as a nation of God examine ourselves and question rather we be in the faith or not. We can’t prove someone else’s faith but we can our own when we come to love and obey God in his fullness, and know our own selves in a true way. Christ in us is the hope of glory and we need Him more than we think. If a man think himself to be something when he is not; he only deceive himself because God knows and He will make it known to man also. Man must prove his own work to God and not man. Every man must bear their own burdens. Be honest with yourself in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. Just balances and weights is what we should have. Know the Commandments of God and keep them; wrong no man. We are to exercise our self to have always a conscience void of offence toward God and toward men.
The way of living a clean life is most profitable for the soul and eternal life. We can hear the Word but until it goes down into the heart we cannot live it. Living it though is a process of elimination. As we learn the truth we put on and pull off. Put on righteousness and pull off sin. Micah 3:11 questions a man’s integrity; the heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money. Every man eats and drinks for themselves. We are a people that should take care of our own before taking care of the neighbor. My electricity should be on if I seek to pay another’s. No man should leave home to take care of another home and leave their home undone; God forbid. When we feed or clothe a body we do it as unto to God for it is He that has made us and not; we ourselves. If the love of God dwells in us and our heart is really after God our way is set; we please Him. Only what we do for Christ will last.
There is a way that seems right to a man; but the end thereof is the way of death. Death to what one may ask? Death to one’s vision and purpose in life and death to the soul for eternity. When we try to fix things up we find ourselves caught up most times in the middle of a lie. We find out that one thing leads to another; if you tell one lie then you have to tell another and pretty soon you forget what it is that you have said in the beginning. There is a way that takes man down a dead end street and they wonder what in the world did get them there. I may not have everything I want in life; but I have had it. I may not have everything in order as I would like but things were once in order. I don’t have the money I use to have since I am not on a job right now but disability but an adjustment had to be made. Only what we do for Christ will last in that it will take us from earth to glory.
We are warned to not seek after things in the earth, but to seek for things above in the heaven. Matthew 6:33 but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Ray Charles achieved his goals in life as a blind man. He went through some stuff that was not right, did some things that was not right but when he came to himself he realized that he was his own enemy in the worse way possible and got it together. He realized he needed the Jesus his mother taught him about. He realized the way that he thought was right wasn’t the way at all. It was a way with a destructive end. He came in the world and later he became blind but he also had to be blind to the world. It is things in life that we must deny in Christ or not. That is lying, stealing, idol worship of worldly goods, spiritual idolatry, adultery, fornication, and all manner of perversion. Then we have killing, the actual act of murder or the murdering of one with our mouth. The pink tornado in our mouth speaks evil, it speaks things we have no business speaking and we use it to defame another when we are not to covet in no area of life.
Deception had to become a thing of the past for Ray but he had to first deal with his own heart. All of his life he had blamed himself for his brother’s death when it was not his fault at all. Sometime we go through a life time of guilt and shame that we had no responsibility for. The President achieved his goals in life to become the President of the United States. President Barack Obama had the audacity to hope. He set in order the things in his life that he thought mattered the most; family. He knows the right way of families being what God called them to be but he also knows that people will do what they want to do and we can’t change them. He also knows that if God don’t change the heart of a man that he doesn’t have that power. Many don’t understand that from the beginning Adam had a right of choice; to choose to obey or not. God strives with the hearts of men still today to get it together and come and serve Him. There’s a way; and a way that seem right to man but the end thereof are the ways of death.
The truth may come out of the mouth but when it is in the heart we can tell. Anybody can speak a thing but is it a part of them? Is it a part of their makeup? Get wisdom, get knowledge, but in all of thy getting get an understanding. God harden the heart of the King when He was delivering Israel out of Egypt. Why? Israel simply disobeyed God in going there in the first place. We reap what we sow. Just who do we think we are to buck against God? Who were the people of Israel to buck up against God? They said they love God; prove it, obey and trust Him. How can we talk about what we have not the understanding of? How can we talk about struggle if we have never had to struggle? How can we make one understand their situation if we have never had to go there? How can we say we understand the pains of a man that have hunger pains if we have never been hungry? How can we understand the dignity taken away from a man in his family because he can’t provide for them if we have never had our dignity downgraded to ground zero? We can only carefully expound on the things we know to be true to our hearts. For the love of money a man will sell his own soul because he loves money more than the God that allowed them to get the money.
Man’s ways are far from God’s ways. Man has a way and God has a way. Man has a choice and then there is God’s choice but we decide which we will follow. The people of God is effectually called and regenerated, having a new heart and a new spirit created in them. Then we are further sanctified, really and personally, through the virtue of Christ’s death and resurrection, by His Word, and Spirit dwelling in us. The dominion of the whole body of sin is destroyed, and the several lusts thereof are more and more weakened and mortified and are more and more quickened and strengthened. Then and only then can we practice true holiness; which without no man shall see the Lord. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the Law of God and keep his testimony while they seek him with their whole heart. They do no iniquity; when sin is found it is repented of quickly. We also walk in his ways for our ways will not please God.
Isaiah 35:8 and a highway shall be there and a way and it shall be called the way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those the wayfaring men, though fools shall not err therein. We walk not after the flesh but the Spirit. We present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy, and acceptable unto God, not man. This is our reasonable service. Be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing our minds which is in Christ that we prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. We are the temples of God, the Church that the Spirit of God dwells in. If any man defile the temple of God; the body, him shall God destroy. There is a way; and a way. Our bodies are the temple of God that He calls to be holy; for He our Creator is Holy. We cannot drink the cup of devils and be a partaker with Christ also.
One must make up their mind today to serve God. Awake to righteousness and sin not. Don’t be unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness; light with darkness? Let’s start today to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Everyone has a duty to learn of God and find out how to possess their vessel in sanctification and honor. God has not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness. From the beginning God chose us to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. The end of the commandment is charity out of a pre heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned. Godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. Be examples of believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, and in purity. Godliness with contentment is great gain and the man of God of perfect, being thoroughly furnished unto all good works. The Spirit is here to help us live the Word we hear preached; come to Jesus.
