She's learning of the things of the Spirit;
   learning His sweet voice that she might hear it.
Sister of the Light, sister to my Lady*,
   she loves His might; won't respond with "maybe".

Thank You, dear Lord, for this good sister;
   I thank You, my God, Your grace has kissed her.
I thank You, Jesus, she's the friend of my Heart*,
   she gives her* wisdom; never failing to impart.

I saw her tears; Your truth has crushed her,
   broken by her fears, yet You have blessed her.
Pain has been her teacher, You have been her Friend,
   You, the faithful Preacher, brought her through an end.

What the dark devoured, in Your light replace.
   What Your Spirit has now scoured, leave behind Your grace.
Let her see Your very Love; how You're the great 'I AM'.
   grant her goodness from above, maybe even in a man.

Let the joy You have make the past so gray;
   do the work that makes her glad; this is what I pray.
I alone will praise Your name, and my Love* will echo.
Persuade her, please, of Your fame, where she could only hallow.

She has taught me many things, things of the Spirit;
   she has reminded me of Your voice to hear it.
I see some of Your light in her loving my true Lady*,
   teaching her* to love Your might; not to tell You, "maybe."

Hear my praise and my applause; Your work in her is good,
   purifying all she is; refining what was crude.
All who know her, all are blessed; You're imprinted on her.
You're the Hope where she rests, for You are her Cure.
