I long, my Savior, to touch You,
Rest my palm within Your grasp.
But I realize, for a while,
That’s more than I can ask.
In tenderness You reach out,
To show Your love for me-
With the gift of each spring,
Your promise I can see:

So I know that You are faithful,
And are working out Your plan,
Every time I hold a flower
In my hand.

My heart craves Your presence
As night longs for the day.
When I will give You my sorrows,
And You wipe my tears away.
Still, I feel Your loving kindness
Wrap warm embrace around me,
With every spring You give,
Your mercy I can see.

For I know that You are faithful,
And will make Your plan complete,
Every time I feel the grass
Beneath my feet.

Your words are sweet as honey;
Water to quench the soul,
So I wait upon the day,
When You will make me whole.
Until then I give You thanks
For the gifts that You impart;
With every spring You offer
Hope to my heart.

And I know that You are faithful,
Your ways perfect, divine,
When I taste the sweetness
Of the Vine.
