Prophecy
Before I saw this vision, I had been writing about spiritual warfare and combating fear with faith and walking in the royal law of the Kingdom of God, which is love. And so I was saying,
“Jesus Christ is Lord and it’s by His side we stand because He is the mighty Warrior who ‘teaches our hands to war.’ We must combat fear with faith in our God, ‘who is on our side, what can man do to us.’ And we build up our spiritual (faith) muscles by the Word. “So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the (rhema) word of God”(Romans 10:17).
Faith comes by practicing the word--living it out daily. Being a “doer of the word and not just a hearer only, deceiving your own selves”(James 1:22-23). It comes by trusting that God is our rear guard (His glory, favor and presence). And it comes by being obedient to the command of Jesus to “walk in love” toward others.

THE VISION:
==============
I saw this powerfully strong bear that I instinctively knew was a ‘Papa Bear.’ Backed up snug against Papa Bear’s belly was a baby cub who didn‘t seem to have a care in the world (1 Pet.5:7). If Papa Bear moved, he moved. If Papa Bear stood still, he stood still also and seemed content to align his moves with his Papa. I had to smile because this was such a wonderful picture of a close father and son relationship. One of intimacy, but soon danger came upon the scene.
I next saw a lean and hungry wolf and a fierce looking lion. From a distance, they began prowling back and forth. Obviously they were waiting for the right chance to get the baby cub. But as long as the little cub stayed snuggled (in obedience and intimacy) next to Papa, it was safe. “...And that wicked one touches you not” (1 John 5:18).
Then a beautiful butterfly (temptation, something that looks good and innocent) came into view and began flittering so close that it got the baby cub’s attention. The butterfly was colorful and very pretty and the little cub was so curious. I could tell that the cub wanted to capture the butterfly for its own. Finally, he couldn’t stand it any longer and I saw him take a few steps away from Papa and toward the butterfly. As soon as he did, the enemy moved in closer. The little cub wasn’t aware (no discernment) of the impending danger of attack. His focus was off Papa and his place of safety. It was on following the butterfly instead.
I could see that the Papa Bear was looking at the baby cub with concern but he still didn’t move to intervene. The cub had left his side by his own choice. Then, it was as if Papa Bear began speaking words of warning to the cub but the cub didn’t hear the warning. It was captivated by the butterfly and didn’t hear Papa’s voice (through deception, spiritual hearing is dull).
I too wanted the little cub to run back to the safety of Papa Bear. Finally, I saw the cub turn just in time to see the enemy coming toward him but it was too late to get out of the way. Just as the attack came, I heard Papa Bear let out a thundering roar (the Lion of the Tribe of Judah roars) that shook everything. When this happened, the wolf and the lion ran away in fear themselves. They were gone now and the baby cub was able to run back to the safety of Papa, wounded somewhat but safe.

Just like the baby cub in the vision, how often do we allow ourselves to get captivated by something that appears innocent and good, but something the enemy uses to lure us out from under the protective covering of our Papa God? No doubt we can all say we’ve been here at least once in our journey with Jesus. And just like the cub, we get wounded but Papa God will lovingly heal the wounds. There will also be a lesson to learn as well.
When we get out from under Papa God’s protective covering through something that seems innocent, through unbelief and disobedience, it gives the devil legal right to attack because we have moved onto his turf (II Timothy 2:26). And even though we don’t always know how to deliver ourselves from the enemy’s grasp, God never fails to come to our rescue (Psalm 118:5). Praise His name!
God will open our eyes to the truth of deception (John 8:31-32) and move to bring us back into the safety of His protection. Though we were wounded and encountered pain, we must face responsibility for a wrong choice we made. Jesus is our Shepherd. He is also our Healer and the Restorer of our soul as He leads us by the still waters and makes us lie down in green pastures once again (Psalm 23).
The Holy Spirit is out Teacher who leads us into all truth (John 16:13); therefore, we will learn a most valuable lesson to help us in the future as well as helping to warn someone else not to make the same mistake. Or, if the person has already made this kind of mistake, because of our experience, we can help them to be restored. We can help them get up and get going again on their journey with Jesus.
We are in a war between light and darkness, truth and lies, make no mistake about that. Infact, warfare is intensifying in the days we’re in now. This is why its all the more important to store God’s Word, particularly Psalm 91, in your heart and stay under the shadow of the Almighty. We must refuse the enemy of fear (1 John 4:18) and instead fight the good fight of faith (1 Tim.6:12) by walking in love and forgiveness toward all people, using the sword of the Spirit (rhema word) and declaring as Jesus did to the devil, “It is written...!”
We must make the right choice to stay snuggled in close to Papa God in intimate fellowship. We must also remember that we war from a position of victory (not defeat) because Jesus won the victory over the devil for us at Calvary. Hallelujah! Lift your shield of faith high and fight on, quenching every firy dart of the enemy in Jesus name!
