The Light

The sunlight streaming in the kitchen window reminds me of Christ, the Light, who streams into my heart, bringing warmth and joy to my soul. As the kitchen is lit-up by the sunlight, so my soul is lit-up with the Light of Jesus.

Sometimes, there are clouds which come between the Light and I. Recently, that cloud was depression. Then I had difficultly believing the Light was still there. But, it was still there. It took someone else to point out to me that the Light was still there. Then I could see it filtering through the clouds, like sunlight through heavy curtains.

Then finally, the clouds disappear and there is nothing be-tween the Light and I. The warmth of the Light heals the hurt. As I bask in the Light, I am made whole and well. The Light brings peace. I am able to simply rest and enjoy the Light. The Light brings joy and I begin to sing. Laughter bubbles from my soul once more!

The Light has brought me Life!
Abundant Life!
