Most excellent sis,
May you see this
Unobtrusive, yet true;
That is, how I see you:

There’re two things I’m seeing:
One, by incidental light,
The other, by faith-filled sight;
These things, my mind’s gleaning,
And, I find both appealing;
And, if it’s His end,
To make us one another’s friend,
He’d send my heart reeling.

I only know two things:
His goodness, so great,
‘n’ what I know not, of late;
Yet, His faithfulness rings.

So, I’ll walk in godly fear,
For I know He is here;
And pray the Lord, that I,
Pray the Lord to see,
What lies behind
Your quiet mystery.

I’ve proved His existence,
As at re-birth’s start,
For I’ve seen true beauty,
With my imperfect heart.

Writer's note: How does a man write to a sister in the Lord he has only talked with a few times, and yet finds "appealing" things about her? I came up with this, after some prayer.
