Deu 33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

Psa 9:9-10 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

My My Thoughts and Comments
When we are in trouble and oppressed - do we run to people or to the Lord? Are we seeking Him - knowing He has not forsaken us? Are we trusting in our ability or in the Lord's ability?

Israel looked at the promise land and saw how great it was. Then they looked at their ability and said "We can't take it" ! Joshua and Caleb looked at the Lord's ability to give it to them and said "We can take it" ! Beloved, stop looking at your ability to bring the Word of God to pass. Just believe it and live it! Become a doer of His Word - not just one who quotes His Word!

There are many benefits when we are obedient to the Lord and do those things that please Him. To us He is our refuge (habitation, dwelling place) and His everlasting arms hold us up. He has already defeated our enemy, the devil, and made a show of him openly.

Let's quit using excuses and trust and obey the Lord in all things. The Lord is with His own who do this and will not forsake us at any time. Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Beloved, a lot of people believe on the Lord. Even the devil believes on Him! Do we believe we are in Him and He in us? There is a big difference in "In Him" and "On Him" If you don't see that the next time you go to your car get on it instead of in it and you will quickly learn the difference!

When we are in Him and He becomes our ability we can boldly say "The Lord is my strength and ability and I will not want for anything He has for me! No weapon formed against me will overcome me! I am made the righteousness of God in Him. I am a child of the most high God. I am a temple of God. By His ability I live and conduct myself accordingly. Because I believe in the Lord nothing shall be impossible to me". Praise the Lord! Meditate on it.

"'Because I believe in the Lord nothing shall be impossible to me'". Great words! If only we could remember this all day long when pressures get to us. And they do!...Thanks Charles, for these words of wisdom...God bless!...Helen
