Just some thoughts...
"and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." - Colossians 2:10
Webster's Dictionary defines "complete" as:
1: having all parts, elements, or steps.
2: fully carried out : thorough
3: total, absolute.
4: brought to a whole, with all the necessary parts or elements.
From the definition above we can say a healthy baby is born complete. That is to say he/she has all the necessary parts to live well (nervous system, skeletal system, digestive system, etc.) That child is then born complete, only needing to be fed and kept clean, a responsibility of his parents until he is grown to maturity.
As it is with the physical world, so is it with the spiritual. Consider some verses:
"as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue," - 2 Peter 1:3
"But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us—see that you abound in this grace also." - 2 Corinthians 8:7
The idea is that of the ultimate in full provision. This makes sense in light of the fact that we live in a fallen and cursed world, and under heavy attack from it and its ruler. What Commander would send his troops into battle without the full array of weaponry? What parent, given the resources available to them, would be derelict in insuring that their child would be born healthy and complete.
Even Jesus was victorious in His humanity, having available to Him all He needed to do His Father's will. Would the Father then forget about us? What other way would we be enabled to follow His Son's steps if He didn't provide what was available to the Son of God? Such an idea implies an inconsistency (faithlessness) concerning God. That just is not so, since apart from Him we can do nothing.
So in what ways are we complete in Christ?
"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ." - 1 Corinthians 2:12-16
By virtue of the indwelling Holy Spirit we have access to divine wisdom, discernment, perspective (true biblical spirituality), those things that were first found in Christ, and then in His apostles and first-century saints.
This is the mind of Christ, that which makes us complete, upon realization. Like all of God's promises, this takes belief in it.
