“Feed your faith, Diminish your doubt”

Before feeding our faith and diminishing our doubt, I would like to talk about the word faith for a moment. The word faith is a very important word to our vocabulary. It simply means a belief in someone or something. People all over the world, have faith in at least one thing or another. If a man is a Muslim, he has faith in Allah. If a woman is a Buddhist, she has in Buddha. If a man and woman has faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah, the living son of the God, they would be Christians and smart!

The moment we get saved, we must feed and develop our faith, while diminishing our doubt. It is important because at the point of Born Again, we receive the spirit of God but still have a carnal way of life. We must grow from Carnal to Spiritual over time because it is a process. It is done by reading and doing: cultivating it because it is fruit of the Spirit. Feeding our faith keeps us focused on the promises of God. The more we develop in faith, the more we believe. Faith leads to a more committed walk with Christ. The more committed we are, the more his presence will manifest in our hearts and minds. Another reason is whatever we believe in God for requires faith. For example, getting a house would mean gathering pictures, posting them somewhere, getting some scriptures that pertain to financial/ material blessings. Second Corinthians 5:7 says “For we walk by faith and not by sight”.

In Hebrews 11:17, Abraham, the father of faith, was tried and offered up Isaac. He received the promises for offering up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, that in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

The Devil is another reason why we must feed our faith. Satan wants to take us of our faith in God so he can destroy us. In John 10:10 Jesus says “the thief cometh not but for to steal and kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly”. The enemy knows that if he can snatch our faith, he gains access to us. The body of Christ can prevent this from happen by developing stronger faith no matter what is going on around us.


I will conclude by saying that our faith in Jesus is all we have. Without him we can do nothing. I am glad to know that the victory is won. We must continue to build ourselves up and other men and women in the word. No faith no power, because faith is the essence of power. Romans 10:17 says: “faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God”. I pray that our faith faileth not in Jesus name. Amen.
