My brother told me that Jesus died for my sins,
I screamed out in anger “Who cares? Who the h__ asked him to anyway?”

My brother answered: “God the Father did.”

You see, without the cross
There would be only sorrow
Hopelessness, despair

Yet through the pain of the cross,
the sorrow of the road to calvary
Forgiveness was purchased
The debt was paid
Once, for all who would believe.

Oh the cross, it should have been me,
But he went in my place, our place, your place.
Oh, the cross
