I’m an ordinary person
With an ordinary life.
My profile confesses
I am mother, daughter, wife.
But I have a higher calling
Than these roles to which I cling;
He has called me into service
As standard bearer to my King.

In my life, in my days,
In my work, all my ways,
I am called to lift His standard high!
In my speech, by my mood,
With my smile, my attitude,
I am called to lift His standard high.

I am His standard bearer
Lifting high His Holiness;
With every word of praise
His worthiness I confess.
He alone is righteous
Our wrongs confirm His right
To judgment over all
With wisdom, knowledge, might.

I am His standard bearer
A channel for His love;
With every deed of charity
Mercy flows down from above.
Heart filled to overflowing
For all He does for me,
I pray my life reflects His light
And sets some captive free.

In my life, in my days,
In my work, all my ways,
I am called to lift His standard high!
In my love, by my prayers,
Showing others that He cares,
I am called to lift His standard high.

I am His standard bearer,
His faithfulness to tell;
His banner of salvation
Leads the sinner from it’s hell.
With tireless endurance
He contends for our souls,
For He is the only way
To save and make man whole.

In my life, in my days,
In my work, all my ways,
I am called to lift His standard high!
With faithful trust, and humble plea,
“More love, my God to Thee”,
So blessed to lift His standard high.
