When you open that door then you open your heart
To an everlasting friend who will never depart
He will heal your hearts and memories past
And give you his strength to make it last.

When you reach out your hand and learn to trust
Then all your past life will turn into dust
Your life he will mold just like the clay
And bring you safe into a sheltered bay

If you will follow and trust his way
And never doubt the words he would say
He’ll be with you come what may
And bring your spirit to eternal day

Will you learn to be his precious child
Feel his love gentle and mild
Draw from his strength each weary mile
And bring to this world his eternal smile
