I sat in my room and cried out for love
Cried out for someone who just wasn't there
Someone to love me someone to care
Someone all my thoughts to share

Now

Alone in my room there was someone there
A man full of love, a man who loved me
Someone to hold me and set me free
From all of the things that I cannot see.

Lord Jesus will you come and set me free
Throw open the door if I give you the key.
Make me your child then happy I will be
Be my father and teach me your way.

Teach me your values and teach me your truth
Will you love and support me on this narrow way.
And show me the way that you want me to go
Will you let me serve you so my life can show


The way you have touched me and taken my pain
Release this caged bird and let me fly free
And with you on eagles wings will I saw.

Up to the warmth of heaven above.
To feel your love and heavenly peace.
Cleanse my body from all unclean
Wash me in your precious blood
