Dancing in the dark of a stormy night.
Lightning sparkles through my soul,
Life is lovely, love is right.
The touch of a friend,
Soothes all pain,
Holding one’s hand,
Removes hurt’s stain.
Strolling in the moonlight,
Talking of life,
Wishing on a star,
Let go of me, strife!
The smell of a rose,
Brings joy to my being,
Closing my eyes,
To look without seeing.
A ride at Carnival,
Horsy merry-go-round,
Fills up my senses,
With musical sound.
Arms cast out,
Spinning like a top,
Grinning ear-to-ear,
I never wanna stop!
Remembering the time,
Of that sweet first kiss,
Those days of innocence,
Oh! How I miss!
The taste of ice cream,
Heavenly on the tongue,
Penny candy wrappers,
Was I ever that young?
Reach out! Reach out!
There’s so much to live for!
The world is magical,
Outside Heaven’s door.
In my lifetime,
God has blessed me,
Time, after time, after time.
Was I too blind to see?
Now I stand before Him,
To follow my fate,
Found just in time,
I wasn’t too late.
Dear God, thank you.
For life’s recreation,
For your love and forgiveness,
Your sweet salvation.
I never understood,
Love’s true meaning,
Until God found me,
Broken and leaning.
With tears of ecstasy,
I reach out my hand,
To step into Heaven,
My ever Promised Land.
Will I see Mama?
My brother, Bill?
Oh, yes! Oh yes!
God tells me I will.
Oh Peter! St. Peter!
When my time does come,
Open those gates.
Dear Father, take me home!
