Heads hung low for lack of praise
While ingesting sins, we savored their taste
Then indulged more with no time to waste
We kept not one of Your commands
Simply written so we’d understand
As Satan’s lies stirred our pots
This sadist watched each nation rot
We worshiped idols, abused Your name
Guilty of crimes vicious and insane
In Your teachings we did not abide
Instead we wallowed in foolish pride
Convinced we were our very own masters
We caused ugly world-wide disasters
Robbing and cheating in various forms
To Your will we just would not conform
Repent? No, though Your blessings disappeared
We were ego driven and You were not feared
Hate and greed gave rise to wars
We killed our brothers by the scores
Instead of love, we violated
Each command that in stone You stated
In doing so we now confess
Dark nations knew not happiness
Our failures mount like winter’s snows
“Too late,” we ask, “to get to know
The One who came that holy night
To fill the world with heaven’s light?”
Nations, seek now with earnest heart and soul
In sincere surrender--give Him control
Begin to pray, in faith embrace
God’s forgiveness and His grace
End times are knocking on every shore
The wise take notice but the fools ignore
Nations will bow and exalt the King
Who created every living thing
