It’s such a thankless job
When all they do is fight
They mutter, moan, and sob.
It’s such a thankless job
We’re weary to the bone
They mutter, moan, and sob
As we try, their skill, to hone.
We’re weary to the bone
We push and pull and poke
As we try, their skill, to hone
Get their hands to make a stroke.
We push and pull and poke
Their writing we try to improve
Get their hands to make a stroke
Try to get them in the groove.
Their writing we try to improve
With sentences clear and well-written
Try to get them in the groove
With content and description.
