Cloudy eyes
Eyes that see through frosted glass
Cataracts that blur and dim
Mercy
A healing ship
Sent abroad from shore to shore
Surgeons with skill and care
Gran
Almost blind
A walking stick and outstretched hands
Hope in leaps and bounds
Ask
Can this help
Freely given come and take
Relief that grows and swells
Hands
A gentle touch
Tears that swim on chocolate skin
Belief that Gran will see
Sleep
Calmly quiet
Surgeons snip and cut and trim
A lens that’s new and clear
Patch
A dark cover
Peace as eyes relax and heal
A shout of joy and sight
Light
Brightly clear
Crisp contrasts of day and night
An eye that’s sharp and whole
Colour
Bursting forth
Rainbows arching, dancing free
A world that's fresh and new
Thanks
Fervent words
Grateful hearts extend their love
A smile of victory
Dance
Spinning around
Exuberant excess of pleasure
A shout of praise to God
Grace
Amazing grace
She once was blind
But now can see
