Moonbeams tiptoe silently
across the bedroom floor to
gently caress my
sleeping face inviting
me to the spectacle
on this glorious white
full-moon night

Silvery branches
dance and sway in
the heavenly spotlight
blazing brightly
on this brilliant white
full-moon night

Big round moonface
smiles at her reflection
shimmering milky white
on an ebony pond
on this radiant white
full-moon night

Clouds scamper past
in a game of hide-and-seek
white face peeking out
calls out, "Boo!"
on this dazzling white
full-moon night

Pearl of the night
lustrous and glowing
lies upon a velvet sky
a rare and lovely jewel
on this pearly white
full-moon night

Preternatural light casts
inky silhouettes across
the pearl-gray landscape
a pair of opalescent eyes
peers out from shadowy depths
on this luminous white
full-moon night

Say goodnight
to this glorious sight
of resplendant white
as the moonbeams tuck
me back in bed
on this lovely white
full-moon night

Congratulations Linda on this! And it's like many didn't see it coming but it is a win well deserved. You writing reminds me of the beautiful, graceful, rich and elegant flow of the lines of legendary poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. "Pearl of the night, lustrous and glowing, lies upon a velvet sky..." is a masterpiece and only a hint of your definitive, descriptive, poetic power or prowess. Keep it up dear.
