Caught unaware, a sudden revelation had blurred my vision, yet tears had brought their own relief. Instinctively I tried to relieve their ache, blinking, wanting to see more clearly.
My thoughts had blended the past with the present, and weaved them together with the future, for my children are both here and far away. My heart was speaking to them, trying to reach theirs – willing them to hear mine. One of many heart conversations I have with them to reassure them of love, God and life – wanting them to know … I am here. That my love is strong and will not back down from whatever their life may bring my way.
No matter what they feel about me, no matter what they think – no matter what … I am here.
Then I heard the whisper of One Other in my heart, clear and soft; One Who had been waiting to speak. His voice tender … close … ‘So am I.’ He said, ‘I am here. My Love is strong and will not back down from whatever your life may bring My way. No matter what you feel about Me, no matter what you think – no matter what … I am here.’
Caught unaware, tears stung deep and pained my eyes, yet tears brought their own relief; for My Father’s Truth broke the cold, cruel grip of the lies Satan whispered in my ear when I was weary, when I was tired. I was weary and tired now. I closed my eyes, wanting to see more clearly.
The silence in my heart spoke only of His Presence. The silence of my heart received His Words.
‘I am here.’ He whispered … ‘I am here.’
I pray my children are listening; I pray my children will hear … the whisper of His love.
