Topic: MAIL (02/18/16)
I heard words whispered in the wind; it was sweet music to my ears. I knew the sound of Your voice, it poured out wonder and wisdom into my dry thirsty spirit. Each day I hurried to our trysting place, so eager to receive Your love. We feasted on the Bread of Life and drank from the well that never runs dry. You anointed me with oil and my cup ran over. My soul was satisfied.

My pen became an instrument of joy, sailing across the pages as words poured forth in cascading rivers of love. I spoke of my desire to live for You and You alone. I gave my heart to You completely and all seemed well with my soul.

When illness struck me in body and mind, the words I once used to express my love for you were no longer there. Where had they gone? They hid from me in the darkness of my thoughts. They had blown away in the winds of sorrow. If I could but find them I would write love sonnets to You again. If I could capture them as they are blown about I would tell You of dreams I dream of You. If I could but gather those elusive words as they tumble about in my mind I would once again write love letters to You.

Be patient with me my Love and show mercy. I thank You that You have considered my troubles and have known my adversities. I know that though weeping may endure for a night, joy comes in the morning; then I shall rise up early and give you praise. I shall once again rejoice in the day you have made. I will make of myself a morning sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You for this will be my reasonable service.

In your Word I found you again and in praise I found my instrument of joy. My pen once again flies across the pages of my soul writing words of love an songs of gladness. I pay tribute to You, dear Holy Spirit; You pursued and overtook me and renewed my gift. I am eternally grateful.

This was like a Psalm, with both praise and lament. It was intimate. I found that I wanted to know HOW the Holy Spirit had healed you....perhaps you did not feel that an intimate description of this was warranted, but to one suffering, such a conclusion could be a strong message of hope. Just a suggestion for a lovely piece of writing.
