Yearning for acceptance, for love, she tried many churches.
Hoping for something different, she pressed forward.
Expecting nothing, one Sunday Olivia felt cornered;
Amazingly, God led her to a people who ministered.
Right from the time she opened the door and stepped in:
Terrified and excited at the same time, she grinned.
“I am so happy you are here today” a greeter announced;
She was ushered into the sanctuary during the first song.
Yearning to feel the freedom these people had to praise Him,
Olivia clapped and raised her hands at first just to fit in—then—
Under great conviction, during a slower worshipful moment,
Repenting to God for all of the sin she thought and did;
Surrendering all to Jesus, Olivia chose to walk to the front.
Jesus met her there: it was an eternal moment of love and hope;
Entering into the water, Olivia was baptized in Jesus’ Name.
She felt so clean on the inside, then something Wonderful came:
Unhindered by selfish pride, Olivia succumbed to God’s love:
She was filled with the Spirit of Christ, speaking in tongues.
