Thunder and lightning.
Enter three witches.
First witch:
When shall we meet again?
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
Second witch:
When we’ve cast away the crown.
When their battle’s lost and ours is won.
Third witch:
That will be when they fall for love.
First witch:
The love of self -
which they believe to be the love for God.
Second witch:
‘Tis delightful to play with false sincerity.
Third witch (shudders at the thought of God’s righteousness):
The Almighty’s love without its righteous sting.
First witch (wicked laughter):
They will be deceived to think HIS love covers everything.
Second witch:
They will call HIM Loving Father and commit their sins.
Third witch:
They will worship themselves and call it praise.
First witch (sinister):
Yes, praise it is. And praises will ring – in all dark places.
Unrighteousness will ruin everything!
Second witch:
He will be lifted up!
Third witch (in adoration):
The Evil One!
All witches (victoriously):
Our Master’s time has come!
Scene Two. A man’s bedroom. Midnight.
Three witches enter.
First witch:
He’s asleep and dreamless still.
Second witch:
We will send him a vision of great design.
All witches:
We are the evil sisterhood
Called to shed all human’s blood.
Thrice to thine and thrice to mine
And thrice again, to make up nine.
Silence! The charm's wound up.
Third witch:
The man gets up! Let’s disappear for pride to take its toll.
[The three witches disappear. Their evil laughter slowly fades out.]
Scene Three. In the kitchen. Early Morning.
A man and his wife are having breakfast.
The man (turning to his wife):
I had this dream. But let me state.
It wasn’t a dream but a vision of grandeur and might.
The Lord will make me great.
I am called to do mighty things to the Lord’s delight.
I always knew that HE will use me powerfully.
I will soar like an eagle on wings of eternity.
People from all walks of life will come and listen to me.
Multitudes will sit at my feet to catch a glimpse of God’s majesty.
The woman:
I am pleased to see the Holy Spirit move in you.
Finally our dreams come true.
You are fit to reign and lead the way.
This is truly a glorious day.
A great calling befits a great man.
I will support you in whatever way I can.
Scene Four. A desert place. Twilight. Rain.
Three witches enter.
First witch (wicked laugh):
He’s fallen into every trap.
He’s so bad.
Second witch (giggles):
He turned stones into bread to gratify his own need.
Now he’s hooked to satisfy his greed.
He’s changing into a power-hungry and self-indulgent man.
Everything’s working according to our evil plan.
He will over-indulge in every thinkable lust.
He will be HEAVEN’s disgust.
Third witch (triumphant):
He stood on the pinnacle of the temple
and believed our lie
that he will never die.
He feels exalted above his fellow men.
A monster he will be, and we will see him slain.
First witch (gleeful):
His wife is plotting and scheming terrible things.
She’s earnestly seeking her own demise
thinking that they will triumphantly rise.
Second witch:
She’s zealous to see her husband raised up on high.
She believes that they will shine,
Glorifying God – The Divine.
How beautiful it is to my eye
to see a human being die.
All witches (sinister):
They believe they will rise to rule the earth
but they are our instruments of death.
Scene Five. Heaven. Radiant Light.
Singing Angels:
Woe to you, man and woman, made by God!
Why don’t you earnestly heed the Word of God?
You are called to take up your cross,
to deny yourself and serve the Lord.
You have been deceived to believe God will make you great.
Don’t you see – your eternal life is at stake?
You have led so many others astray
believing that leaders may sin and only followers need to obey.
God’s children worship HIM in Spirit and Truth.
They quietly intercede before God’s throne.
They give glory to God alone.
They know that a humble surrender to God
– combined with love, hope and faith –
unlocks HEAVEN’s doors – in Christ Jesus’ name.
Pray on, dear children of God on High!
May your prayers break the evil spell
To save so many deceived – from hell!

It is so very easy to fall into this trap, perhaps not on such a grand scale, but just in the normal running/leading of church groups. Thankyou for having the courage to write this, and congratulations on your EC!
