Hear your words
Falling from celestial realms of space and time
Statements, questions, lovely auditory creations
Sweet exclamations, joy of soul’s celebrations.
Hear your words on the line
But miss the light in your eyes close to mine
Can’t see that window to your soul
Like the intimate days of old.
Hear your words today. I understand.
But miss the grand ballet of your hands
Your body’s intricate punctuations
Creating melodious communications.
Hear your words across the miles
But miss the portrait of your smile
Absent is the image of your face
The joy of your embrace.
Until we meet again, we miss so much my friend
Eye’s light that shares our soul’s expanse
Grand ballets, heavenly dance
Melodious communication, symphony of soul to soul celebration.
Yet until we meet again dear friend
Our words we must steadfastly send
Into celestial realms of space and time
Catching only pieces of our rhyme.
