Reach for his father, the first time in years.
United! Together! The misery ended!
Hear the laughter, witness the tears.
See the miracle
Now understood.
Rejoice with Joseph
God meant it for good.
Gentle hands, though tired and crinkled
Cradle a treasure more precious than gold
Well worn face, lined, aged and wrinkled
Smiles with wonder at what her hands hold.
See the miracle
God has done.
Rejoice with Naomi
A baby grandson!
A mother’s hands with needle and cotton
Lovingly sewing a coat for her son.
Out of sight but never forgotten
Thanking God for her precious one.
See the miracle
Empty to full.
Rejoice with dear Hannah
Who gave God her all.
Lips interceding, hands clasped in praying
Heart trusting God, He gladly forgives.
Despite his great loss, just hear him saying
‘I know my Redeemer, I know that He lives’.
See the miracle
To Job God gave more
Abundant provision
Than ever before.
But then just consider the years of affliction
Their weeping and sorrow, and sad, bitter pains,
Identify with them the tight’ning constriction
Of close prison walls and cold, heavy chains.
Forgotten and lost,
Childless, alone,
Bereaved and forsaken.
Long bitter years known.
And yet through the pain of the road that they travelled
Though bruised and bleeding in heart, hands and feet
They found as the way before them unravelled
That One travelled with them whose Presence was sweet.
See the miracle
God never leaves
The side of His child
Who suffers and grieves.
Such saving power, such ample provision
Awaited those who through deep darkness trod,
Through suffering came an increasing vision
And greater dependence in a Mighty God.
See the miracle
God did complete
Out from the bitter
Came blessing so sweet.
Lord, fix my eyes on my Saviour so loving
Help me remember His suffering for me.
He drank the cup of the bitterest suffering
And went to the cross to set my soul free.
See the miracle
God has done.
Sweetest of wonders
God sent His Son.
