Topic: The Game of Life (09/11/08)
Are we losers when we fall,
Those of us who hear Him call?
Are we pawns, do we digress
When evil robs our happiness?

Do we play into his hands
Each time we fail to take a stand?
Do we look the other way
Or ask ourselves what God would say.

‘Sneaky‘, at his game is tops
Laughing at believer’s flops.
Waiting for that perfect hour
So he can pounce and devour.

Each soul he wins gets hellish cheers
Lost souls create heaven’s tears.
Play your game of life to win,
Pray yourself away from sin.

Honor Him our Lord who reigns
Who shares in both our joys and pains,
He has perfect strategy
While watching over you and me.

Have faith, in God keep your trust,
Believing gives a heavenly thrust.
Winners, Losers there will be,
Judgment Day--eternity.

This stanza really caught my attention, "Each soul he wins gets hellish cheers -- Lost souls create heaven’s tears. -- Play your game of life to win, -- Pray yourself away from sin." Your ending is so profound and "cuts to the quick" "Winners, Losers there will be, Judgment Day -- eternity." Nice work on this thought-provoking poem.
