The land holds so much promise. Excitement seared through me as I thought about the many adventures to experience that I have only read about. There is beauty beyond comparison in this place. There is no place on earth like it. I have a lover there waiting for me. It’s imperative that I get my passport to leave here!
The requirements for the passport I believe I have fulfilled. I have worked hard, given my money, and attended all the meetings…I’ve been very sincere in my pursuit.
Have I done anything wrong? Thinking over the steps I have taken, I knew that I must have forgotten something, left something out, or did something incorrect. It’s in my nature to error. I’m feeling quite hopeless of getting my passport. I know they will find something. I should just forget about the whole thing.
Just as I decided to leave, a hand came upon my shoulder. I turned and saw my Lover. How could it be? He smiled at me with such radiance and said, “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” (Rev. 1:17-18 NIV) Jesus is the only passport I need to exit this land and go into the Promised Land.
