We are awe struck when we think of the Great I Am. Moses asks God in Exodus who do I tell the people You are? God answered I AM Who I AM. Exodus 3:14 (KJV)
“And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” There is only two books in the Bible that God calls Him self I AM. Those two books are Exodus and Revelations. In Revelations He says it several times Those verses are Rev. 1:11 and Rev. 1:17 (KJV)
“Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:”
How awesome is our Heavenly Father? He is very caring, loving and understanding yet is also a just God. When we take the time to get to know our Heavenly Father we find that we can come to Him anytime we need to. He is never too busy for us. He will give us all the time that is needed. The Lord cries with us when we are sad and hurt, along with He laughs with us when we are happy. The Lord looks forward to the time we come to talk with Him and tell what is happening to us. Yet He knows what is happening before we ever come to Him. He longs to hear us tell Him what we need.
Sadly said we forget about God, accept when we want something or want Him to bless us. We are too busy to come to Him when we are happy, giving Him thanks for all the good things that happen to us. It is all because He loves us so much that He gives us the good things in life. There is a poem that talks about The Lord waiting to talk to us where He shines the moon light on us at night hoping that we would remember to come and tell Him about our day along with the bright sun light in the morning to remind us that He is there waiting to hear from us. Yet we forget and off we go doing our own thing forgetting about God.
When there has been times when I have been too tired to say my prayers at night I have been awakened up in the stillness of the night, to tell Him about my day. He waits so patiently for me, yet I am so selfish that I do forget to thank Him for when He has taken care of me. The miracles He does for me when there seems to be no way out. He always comes through for me.
I know that My Heavenly Father heard my prayers and provided for me just this past month; He heard my prayers where several things happen, where I knew without doubt He takes care of me. For example I saw the mortgage get caught up when I had fallen two months behind in payments. He provided for it. When the washer broke down He sent my mother-in-law to help out by paying for a new washer. He fixed the AC when we were told that it was dead. I had forgot to turn off the AC and during the night the AC start cooling again and has been doing better then before it broke down. My God heard my prayers and provided for me, a sinner that forgets to come and thank Him at times.
