I lay on my back on the grass and watch for shooting stars.
I put brown sugar on toast and drink hot chocolate.
I make the hula hoop spin.
I blow rainbow bubbles in the sunshine.
I sing with gusto in the middle of the field.
Once in a blue moon . . .
I write a real letter on paper and send it snail mail.
I say “thank you” or “I love you” or “good job”.
I pay a surprise visit to a shut in friend.
I give without counting the cost.
I take a chance on love.
Once in a blue moon . . .
Miracles happen.
Dreams come true.
Time heals.
Prayers are answered.
All’s right with the world.
Once in a blue moon . . .
I bask in the warmth of the sun shining through the leaves of a tree.
I stop to really listen to the song of a bird.
I giggle with delight at the fluttery kiss of a butterfly’s wings.
I cry real tears at the miracle of a new life.
I stand in awe of the delicate beauty of a flower.
Once in a blue moon . . .
I stop to listen.
I open my heart.
I hear God speak.
I trust and obey.
I feel His love.
Oh to live in a blue moon world!
