With His help I overcome and succeed.
There have been many storms through the years,
But I get to the shore safely when He steers.
Tears flow freely when grief takes its toll,
But God is the comforter of my soul.
Though many loved ones have passed away,
My Father is with me now and every day.
Satan loves to throw many darts at me.
As he taunts me he laughs with glee.
"Hmph, God’s not going to forgive you of sin.
You’re so bad and now I’m going to win."
My Savior’s blood will cleanse and atone.
Jesus can save me, He’s the only one.
So Satan I will not believe your lies.
My God loves me and He hears my cries.
God keeps His promises of that I’m sure.
Each heartache and trial He’ll help me endure.
I’ll be saved through His mercy and grace,
Win the crown of life when I finish the race.
