Thoughts flood my mind as I consider the importance of being faithful to Jesus, more today than ever before. Christianity is not popular because men’s eyes are blinded. Truth is not treasured because men want to fulfill their own lusts. Among God’s ransomed are those who think anything goes because they ignore His truth. I believe telling His story is the most important way I can stand up for Him.
Lucifer, the most beautiful angel ever created, let his beauty consume him to the point of trying to take over God’s position. God quickly showed him otherwise and cast him out of Heaven.
Time began. On the sixth day God created man, put him to sleep and made a woman from his rib. God presented Eve to her husband Adam, and it was love at first sight. God said “It is very good!”
The three of them walked in close communion every day and enjoyed their relationship. Adam and Eve had only one commandment to obey. “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:17KJV
Satan, lose and roaming the earth, sought a chance to hurt God. As a serpent he spoke to Eve and cast doubt on God’s commandment.
Satan succeeded. He deceived Eve, but Adam willingly ate. That sin brought death and separation between God and man. God killed an animal and made coats of skins to clothe them and cover their nakedness.
The animal’s blood signified Jesus’ forthcoming death on the cross that would pay the full sin debt for every man, woman, boy or girl, who chose to believe in and receive Jesus Christ.
God appointed a specific time in history for Jesus Christ to be born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit. A son carries the blood of his father, therefore Jesus’ blood was absolutely pure because He is the Son of God.
Jesus came to earth, leaving all that was good and perfect, to dwell among sinful men.
He lived a sinless life, grew to manhood and preached the truth about Himself, causing people to hate Him for exposing their wickedness and their need for repentance.
Time came for His ultimate sacrifice. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He prayed for the cup to pass from Him if God willed, yet totally yielded His desires to His Father.
Soldiers came.
They led Jesus to Pilate’s Hall, stripped Him, and put on Him a scarlet robe.
They platted a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and placed a reed in his right hand.
They bowed their knees, mocking Him and saying, “Hail, King of the Jews.”
They spat on Him mercilessly.
They jerked the reed from his hand and smote Him on the head driving the piercing crown of thorns deeply into His skull. Blood gushed.
They scourged Him brutally then led Him out to carry His own cross on His bleeding, broken, torn, raw back, up Calvary’s mountain. He willingly lay down His life on that rough, rugged cross.
Full of hate for the Son of God, they pounded nails through His hands and feet.
God’s eyes were too pure to look upon the sin that Jesus bore as He hung on that cruel cross. Turning His back on His beloved Son, God allowed Jesus to hang there completely alone in total darkness as the sin of every human that ever lived was placed on His body.
Willingly.
Uncomplaining.
Pleased to do His Father’s will.
For you.
For me.
He cried, “It is finished.” He died. Satan rejoiced thinking the victory was his at last.
A soldier rendered one last devilish act, piercing His side with a sword. All of His blood was shed. Sin’s price was paid in full.
Jesus arose from the grave three days later. His resurrection proved to Satan once and for all that Jesus is the Victor.
Jesus is God’s gift to mankind. A gift is free to anyone who accepts it. Yet it was at a great cost to God our Father and His only begotten Son. He loved us that much! Will you receive Jesus today and join the rank of others who “stand up for Jesus”?
He enables us to live triumphantly over sin. That is the POWER we MUST rely on to “Stand up for Jesus” and tell His life-giving story.

I like your use of single sentence paragraphs. It makes your points more profound. Keep writing.
