The depth of my heart cries out loudly,
....as a song bird sings in the hour of dawn.
How my heart beats, oh Lord, my King,
....at the whisper of Your word to my soul.
From first light to the setting of the sun,
....my joy remains in the glory of Your reign.
A quiet time apart, away the hectic day to come,
....a retreat for my weary my soul,
......as Your words strengthen in the morning hour.
The ringing chime of the fountain's flow,
....a spring of water from the deepest parts.
Even in the darkest of hours, oh Lord,
....would I call out praise to Thy name.
Sing oh my heart, for the joy of life,
....his gift to the eternal soul.
As a breeze through new budding trees,
....Your words are so soft to my ear,
......yet mighty to my inner parts.
A healing touch, like the new spring day,
....the dawn kissed with the crispness of the air,
......cool and clean to the soul.
The warmth of the day fills my being,
....the touch of Your word to my heart.
Your word to me is comfort and strength,
....as the vissions of darkness pass away.
A healing time, that moment before dawn,
....when You lift me from the vissions of the night,
......nightmares of a darker time.
Your whispers to me in the stillness,
....are words of comfort in times of strife.
My heart will sing from the first morning hour,
....as I dance with my loving King.
My morning hour of blessed reprieve,
....a retreat from the fears of life,
......blessing upon blessing in times of strife.
You whisper words of comfort to my soul,
....and peace to my heart so sad.
in the grey morning hour, Your words are a balm,
....a healing to my weary life.
