Let me just say I’m gone.
You’ve messed with me,
You’ve messed with my family,
You tried to steal my joy and jubilee.
But you won’t take my peace
My personal peace
It means a lot to me.
I’ll fight you for it
And you won’t win.
This battle is already won,
That’s right the fix is in.
I’m not using my old peace,
You know, the one the world gives,
But His peace, nothing broken,
And for sure, nothing missing,
PEACE
Get a grip, buy a vowel,
Whatever it is that you do.
Me, you are no longer controlling,
And, I don’t need your consoling.
I have exchanged the sun,
That I use to think rose on you
For the everlasting Son,
Who has proven His love for me.
Not only did he hang on a cross
For the sin of all mankind,
But His peace he gave too.
I am thankful for what he did,
He said he would keep me in perfect peace.
That’s why I take it very personal
When you try to mess with MY
PEACE.
