Decisions
Game theory studies why we make decisions like we do. It is the study of our strategies and choices we make. We have the choice to obey our Godly or sinful nature ten thousand times a day. God offers us a simple chart showing us what the consequences of our selfless or selfish actions. It is the most elementary of mathematic equations. Love God plus obey God equals joy. Love self plus disobey God yields disaster, maybe not today, but someday.
If we had closed our heart to God, where would we be now? My junior high friends would joke that some of us would die young. That was in immature jest then but now it looks dark as it is. My two best friends then were bisexual. Their choices took them on wild adventures, some of which I dare not say.
My male friend has vanished. In this day and age I don’t imagine anyone could be invisible with the internet and social media, but I can’t find a trace of him. I fear the worse. He used to sing the entire score of “Pippen,” “Sweeny Todd,” and all other of my favorite musicals in the sweetest soprano voice. He also sang the scores of “Godspell”, and “Jesus Christ Superstar,” so I assume he knew their stories. I hope to dear God nothing has happened to my beautiful friend and his gentle voice.
My female friend did things beyond my imagination, (and I harbored quite a creatively nasty sinful mind myself) but somewhere through the years she has found God or has been found. She now has a lovely family and glows with God’s light.
God knows game theory. God knows the how and why we make the decisions we do. God knows where my friends are, and where they are going. Most of all, God knows it is not a game.

Wow - some powerful images and intense descriptions in this entry. I pray for your male friend too. Perhaps, it is something good. Maybe he is off somewhere doing wonderful things. Only God knows.

I'm glad the lady's life turned around too. Thanks for sharing.

You make some good points in this piece. I'm sure there are all kinds of studies that show how the kids play games can impact their decisions later on in life. It's important for parents to teach kids to play by the rules. Nice message.
