Bsizar kept his distance. He skulked about like a shadow in the background. Trying to slip up close enough to make his efforts worth it, yet fearful of being noticed. She was, afterall, a daughter of the Light. Her words had more than once caused him excruciating pain and dishonor before the lord of darkness that he served.
Liz picked the phone up on the first ring.
"Girl, have I got some news for you!", she gushed out like a shaken up soda bottle. "Are you sitting down?"
Shelly braced herself for what was coming next. Bsizar moved a little closer, emboldened by her sudden fearfulness. He loved the smell of fear. It was intoxicating.
"Are you there,Shell?" Liz asked. "You'll never guess who I ran into at the Clip & Cut today and what she told me about Marge Daniels. I promised her I wouldn't say anything...and you know me...I won't! But I just knew you would want to be praying about this."
Shelly felt a check in her spirit. She wanted badly to change the subject or say she had to go. But she also wanted to know what Marge Daniels needed prayer for.
Bsizar got so excited he let green drool roll down his chin. He aimed his dart right at her brain. She was weakening. Any moment now, she would yield to her friend's gossip and...yep...there it was. Curiosity! "Ask...ask!", he weezed, dart poised.
Shelly gave in. "What's going on with Marge?"
Z I N G! went the dart as it sailed across the room, entering right between Shelley's eyes.

Tyler knew he should have studied. But the game went late. Who knew she was going to give them a pop quiz this morning. This teacher was so unfair. He rested his forehead on his sweaty left palm while he twizzled his pencil on the paper and strained against the agony of not knowing the answers. If he got one more failing grade in this class, he would be benched for the rest of the season.
Satar sat atop the filing cabinet and aimed for Tyler's head. This kid would be easy. And he was wearing a Christian T-shirt! That would give him extra points with the dark master. He kept his dart aimed. The foul odor of deception emitted from the spirit as he waited. A red slick slime dripped from the poised dart.
Tyler had just about rubbed a sore spot on his forehead from trying to force answers to come out that just were not in there. He was in absolute torment when his eyes glanced over the shoulder of the guy in front of him. He had a direct view of Preston Barker's test! The geekiest, but smartest guy in the class. What a break! The teacher turned her back to write on the board and Tyler grabbed his opportunity.
The dart whizzed through the air as it entered Tyler's skull. He did not even feel remorse as he copied the answers from his classmate's paper.

Luke Gresham sat at his desk working on the Anderson report. Roger and Kevin gathered around Ed Olsen's computer and laughed and elbowed each other as they made suggestive remarks about someone's anatomy. They already had hideous knife like darts sticking in their brains. They did not seem to care.
Vakaror stood behind them, gloating at his achievements. Slither, the lord of smut, would be pleased! If he could just get Luke... He had acquired these three already. It was not even challenging anymore. If he could just get one firey dart in Luke's brain...he would be the top dog at the meeting tonight. He cackled. He aimed. But a blinding light emanated from something on Luke's desk. It tore at Vakarors vision and robbed him of victory once again.
Luke opened his eyes after the brief prayer, closed the Bible on his desk and felt his faith strengthened. He let the peace of God rule in his heart as he continued his work. He had won a victory without even entering the battle.

I loved it.
How'd you come up with the names for the demons? Very creative!
Have you been talking with Maxx? The discussion on the darker side of things and demons in this weeks writings are good for us all, but very close together - like you collaborated on it. Hmmm?
Really, I would love to see this expanded. It could make a great novel like Perretti for kids or something. OK, so I would read it too, but that's not the point.
Thank you.
