The word
Mama couldn’t keep her cool when they in her kitchen went blunt; of course daddy knew the solution to normalcy. Grandpa sharpened his ax almost before every task of splitting or falling trees. The same he did for his machete and anything metal for cutting.
Just like dad replaced his razor for new every morning before a shave, so I remember being provided with more than just one scalpels in the school`s laboratory for bisection. Over using these blades led to bad results and so in maintaining the competence I remember keeping to the rule.
Ensuring a sharp knife, razor, cutter, sword and all tools of the same household out there, are meant for several reasons. The most of all is to have the job done fine, neat and effectively. The word of the Lord being sharper than any two-edged sword , with certainty is aimed by God for similar results in human lives.
Putting asunder the soul and the spirit enables me to distinguishing between the human and the divine. The sharp word living in me would constantly keep me awake, keen and alert to spot God at work and equally recognize the human around me even if portrayed as divine. How that the word may dwell in me and us richly!
The sharpest is also made out of the strongest and the word of God is strong. However sharp steel is, it can never cut precious metal. The latter would equally never beat diamond for example. In the same manner the word of God beats all the cutting materials when it comes to degree of being sharp. For through him (The word) the strongest and the sharpest of all exist. Meaning he is superior in strength.
The sharpest still needs the most skilled for an effective use and outcome. A living force behind the quality outcome! The sharp, powerful word of God is in itself living! It self-determines the measure of pressure and at what angle to prune me and produce the best out of my life.
To crown it all, the living, sharp powerful word of God is spirit. It searches the depth of my heart, counsels and instructs on issues of life. It constantly desires to team up with our human spirits to elevate us from ignorance of all kind. To make us distinctively recognize Gods voice and his will at individual level.
It remains my individual responsibility to embrace the word of the lord. Drink it just like real water and eat it as the real food in order for me to effectively reach the peak of my effectiveness as a creature on this planet.
The globe and all generations that ever existed have never been wary of sharpened individuals in their calling. This is the most we owe our world.
May then the word of the Lord fully dwell in us richly, producing in us the best for our time!
