It is a way we can be blest,
To stop an action for a while,
Discover a reason to smile.
After creation God did rest,
An example of what is best.
When we work from early to late,
No time we have to meditate.
Jesus Himself took time to pray,
From daily tasks to get away.
Jesus declared, Come unto Me
And perfect rest will come to be.
Still tribulation we will face
Which we can handle by His Grace.
God asks us to be still and know
He is God above and below.
But what does eternal rest mean,
When heaven’s glory will be seen?
We’ll be praising Him without a doubt,
Greeting loved ones around about.
Magnificence hard to believe,
The need to rest I can’t conceive.
We need to be ready to go.
That is the time when we will know.
