Laden with the picnic food.
Families, laughter, food, friends, hark!
It’s a day out at the park!
Children running, dads are grilling
Ladies gossip, teens are chillin’
Big dogs woof and small ones bark
When they’re playing at the park!
It’s Saturday and work will wait
It’s time to let your stress abate.
The contrast really is quite stark
When you’re relaxing at the park!
The sky is bright, the sun is too.
The pond is a glassy turquoise blue
The sandy edge has ripple marks
Let’s go wading at the park!
Here where we sit the grass seems greener,
As we relax, the world serener.
Birds, singing like the lark,
Can be heard here at the park.
Families grow stronger as they play
And take time to enjoy the day.
Couples walking, will love spark?
While holding hands here at the park?
It’s that simple, can you believe?
Joy is that easy to achieve?
So go to your calendar and mark
A day you’ll spend out at the park.
