Lost, desolate and alone
You’ve given me more than I could have dreamed

Another day’s end was all I could see
The market corner, my only home
How could it be that you would come for me?

Who am I to receive your generosity?
To have a place to call my own?

From morn’ till night I watched from the street
Mighty kings on mighty thrones
How could it be that you would come for me?

You offered me a full day’s wages, food and drink!
More benefits than I had known!
