My thoughts into a rhyme;
I contemplate and ruminate
Before I write a line.
I then erase my first up phrase
And leave instead a gap;
Then I change and rearrange—
Get my brain into a flap.
I then rethink and in a blink
The thought I sought, I find—
It might not last—I write it fast
Before it leaves my mind.
I write it down, then twist it ‘round—
I now must fill that gap;
To think what’s next gets me right vexed—
Put on your thinking cap!
Ah, there it is! How could I miss
A thought that fits so well?
That’s got me thrilled—the gap is filled;
The plot begins to jell.
Now, how to rhyme the second line?
Pull on that cap real tight—
Just then I knew but off it flew—
It’s gone right out of sight.
I’ve got it back! I’m right on track—
Now let me just rehearse;
Yeah, that fits right—short-lived delight!
I’ve only done one verse.
Like so I go, I’ll have you know,
From beginning to the end;
Each word is sought midst whirling thought—
I’m nearly ‘round the bend!
I think to think leads to the brink
And can sound minds perplex
Perhaps it’s best I take a rest
From musings so complex.
Good bye my friend, I’ve reached the end
Of all my trains of thought;
Don’t think too much ‘bout rhymes and such:
With angst such thinking’s fraught.

This should be a winner!
Wish I could set my thoughts to rhyme as easily as it seems to come from you! Congratulations--I agree: this should be a winner.
