A time now for just the two of us, as it was so long ago.
Help us keep the embers of love glowing through sharing, caring, and nurture.
Help us grow together more and enjoy each other, but not smother each other.
How strange not to hear young voices in the other room.
Thank you Lord for new beginnings:
So many things we’ve rediscovered in our “oneness”--simple things like stargazing.
We’re enjoying spontaneous decisions that say “dinner can wait”.
Yesterday I caught my spouse staring at me--it reminded me of when we met.
How freeing to have schedules that are just our own.
Thank you dear Father, You know us so well:
You knew we’d need a sense of humor so we could age gracefully.
You knew our personalities would mesh and bond us forever in Your love.
You know what awaits us down the road--the good times and future struggles.
How comforting to know we can rely on You always--no matter what.
For past, present and future--we thank you, Lord:
May we cherish our time together and greet each new day with a passion for living.
Help us never to tire of your marvelous creations.
Thank you for the blessing of children and grandchildren.
How awesome You are when detailing our lives.
In humble adoration,
Your son and daughter
