Christ being the best teacher
Also the greatest reacher
Of the people He taught
The word and not for naught
His followers were legions
Coming from every region
To sit at the Master’s feet
Always seeking entry instruction
The people would ask
What deed or task
That would insure them keys
To the Kingdom of God, please
More than once the Master expounded
On what the Kingdom was founded
Not brought about with man’s construction
But accepting Christ as Savior
And living the principles
Becoming His disciples
Living, loving and teaching
Just as he did reaching
All that would receive
So that they can believe
And change their behavior
For the Kingdom of God is not meat
Or drink, but righteousness and peace,
And joy in the Holy Ghost*
Following after peace and do those things
Along with the joy that edification brings
You will soon find the Kingdom within
Not without, or someplace to seek on a whim
The true righteous already has a seat.
*Romans 14: 17-19
