Isn’t this how the Holy Spirit also bestows His gifts on believers? As if it weren’t enough that God gives us the gift of salvation, He just keeps rewarding us with things that make our lives so much richer and fuller.
During this Christmas season we may get some extravagant gifts tied up with pretty red ribbon and shiny gold paper, they bring delight and excitement. However, it won’t be very long before those gifts find their place on a dusty shelf, no longer holding the charm they once did.
The good news is that we can rejoice in knowing the gifts of the Holy Spirit will never cease to excite and stimulate. I remember when I began exercising my gift - life took on a whole new meaning. It became a world in which there was a higher purpose, a purpose that fulfilled and completed me, anything the world offered paled in comparison.
Worth even more weight is the fact that the gifts go far beyond making our own lives rich, they reach out and touch others. Properly exercising our gifts affords us the opportunity to speak to hearts, comfort the grieving, and teach the children.
Luk 4:18-19
The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Have you been trying to fill an empty void in your life? Perhaps you run from one ‘hobby’ to the next without ever gaining any true satisfaction. The Holy Spirit is willing and able to fill that void. Not only fill it up, but He will make it overflow and spill into the lives of everyone around you. Seek out and exercise your gift today, you will be a beautiful blessing to others.
Bible Quote- Luke 4:18-19 KJV

Be careful of using cliches or over-used phrases. I spotted several...re-read each paragraph and ask yourself if there's a fresher way to say it, perhaps.
