When we become born again this is a new beginning, a fresh start and an ambition to reach a goal; but it is only a first step in the right direction.
Next step, is to begin to willingly shed off the old nature and the burden that hangs with it. This is a very difficult thing to do!
One by one, every dirty and untidy garment must go, taken off and destroyed to make room for new, Holy and sanctified ones.
When Abram was called by God to come out of among his father and his kindred’s land to go to a place that He (God) would eventually show him, Abram departed as the Lord had spoken, no comments, no complaints.
Most of us would probably, initially argue and give reasons before obeying, that is if we do obey at all.
In another scenerio, where hurt and where extreme pain is involved and one person has been inflicted by another, through that one’s insensitivity and sometimes it is outright wickedness, the one that is hurt, is now implored as the Lord commands to extend forgiveness with or without repentance on the offender’s part, IT IS EVEN MORE DIFFICULT especially when the pain is relieved in one’s mind eye day by day and the offender grows more pompous and unrepentant.
There are many situations that occur in life which discourage and dis-illusion us ward, the question is: How do we begin to say continually in our Christian walk, 'LORD LET YOUR WILL BE DONE'.
The flesh must die to allow the Lord increase and reign in golden vessels otherwise there will always be, confusion in character manifestation, power and anointing in the body of Christ.
To quote Apostle Paul, GOD FORBID!
It seems so difficult to walk in this Rhema when we envision it with worldly understanding and limited, physical intellect but , when we begin to do so,life becomes a lot easier and peaceful(THE TYPE JESUS PROMISED) without worldly complications.
To actually be able to tell the Lord whenever He speaks 'Lord not my will but your will be done' is the height of divine wisdom, humility and brokenness.
THE LORD EXALTS THE HUMBLE AND CONTRITE SOUL!
In some or many cases of deciding to LET GO AND LET GOD, we may look like and be likened to fools by men, but ; is it not better to do God's will and disregard the opinions of men?
Better to fear He who can kill flesh and soul rather than he who can destroy only the flesh and lead one to miss eternity beside Jesus?
God’s will is the best choice in any and every circumstance because he has vowed on His word and name that, he will neither leave nor forsake us and that, ALL HIS THOUGHTS ARE GOOD TOWARDS US TO BRING US TO AN EXPECTED END.
It’s not an easy road but my prayer is that we shall all get there in Jesus mighty name.
Amen!
