Psalm 89:15-16 " Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, O Lord. They rejoice in Your name all day long; they exult in Your righteousness."
There is nothing quite like walking early in the morning and seeing the sun rise. The colors, the newness of it all, bring a sense of hopefulness, even excitement, at the thought of this new day. Certainly it evokes different feelings and emotions than when I lie in bed and think of all that I have to do this day! Being outside, walking into the beautiful rays of the first sunlight of the day, puts a different perspective on even the most daunting days. It puts me in a mindset to acclaim Him, to admire His awesome creation. As I walk in the early morning, I truly feel the warmth of the light of His presence as I turn a corner and the sun hits my face full-on. Sometimes I stop walking and just put my arms out for a few moments to soak in the Son, as I bask in the sun.
My Prayer: "O Lord, there IS no sun today; it is a gray day, threatening to rain. Yet I can still see yesterday's beautiful morning sun in my mind. O Father, when the days are gray and I may not see any light, I thank You for "yesterday's sun" that will lift me up and carry me through. Thank You that the beauty and strength of mornings when the sun has shone so amazingly stays with me on this day. Let me rejoice in Your name always; for it is Your name, Jesus that floods my heart with joy and warmth as the morning sun. Help me to walk in the light of Your presence all throughout this day, wherever You lead me. I will rejoice in Your name all day long' I will exult (celebrate) in Your righteousness.
