Are there strings of sorrows?
Or have you pressing pain
Are there willows that blow?
Even against you, that you strain
Are you feeling there is no hope?
Or do you battle just to get back your own
Are you saying, 'Oh there is just this slope?'
This slope of despair you can disown
Plead the blood, just plead the blood
The blood sanctifies and makes bold
The blood saves and delivers from pain
The blood is pure b'cos it has no stains
Pure and precious to save
Purity that flows from the wounds of the Lamb
Precious Lamb of God that was slain
Jesus spilt His blood that yours and mine can be preserved
