Will it be in sorrow and parelizing pain
Or in dread, trepidation and unrelenting fear
Will you rehash old crises over and over again
Will all the busyness rob of Yuletide pleasure
Will that special gift come at to great a price
Will you neglect to see the real treasure,
Will your mind be on presents, not Jesus Christ
Let us rethink and refocus our Christmas thoughts
To the reason that give this day the real joy
With His life our salvation was gladly bought
Let us rejoice in the birth of that little boy
A birth that gives the whole world hope
Wrapped in the human clothes of a mere babe
Can we ever conceive of the tremendous scope
Wrapped up in that baby who came to save
So let us celebrate with unashamed praise
That miraculous birth that was so stark
Let songs of thanks, love and joy be raised
Coming from the very depths of our hearts
