That freely I should approach,
The table of your grace.
Who am I,
That you should reach down,
And look upon my face.
Who am I,
But full of sin,
Of holiness no trace.
Who am I,
To stand in your presence,
That to your arms I race.
Here I am,
Today I stand,
With nothing of my own.
Here I am,
A week has past,
Nothing have I shown.
Here I am,
Ashamed and broken,
Unholiness I’ve known.
Here I am,
Again I stand,
Who am I,
That you should set me free.
Today I come,
With nothing to hide,
Today I’ll just be me.
Here I stand,
And look upon your grace,
In truth and honesty.
Now I approach,
With nothing of myself,
You are all I see.
The bread,
The cup,
A symbol of your love for me.
Here I am,
Again I stand,
Who am I,
That you should set me free?
