Just keep me firmly tied to thee;
Fixed on thee my line stays true,
Ne'er drifts too far on bounding blue.
Floating up there, gently bobbing,
Pulse of tide, swishing, throbbing.
Living Waters 'neath me flow,
Gently bobbing to and fro.
Ne'er let me go, turn with the tide,
Nor in bold draft of ship so wide,
Lose sight of what my Lord can make
In craft so small, for His own sake.
Floating up there, gently bobbing,
Pulse of tide, swishing, throbbing.
Living Waters 'neath me flow,
Gently bobbing to and fro.
May storms of those I love too much
Ne'er drag me down the depths to touch.
Lord; keep me floating way up there,
Be tempest foul, or weather fair.
Floating up there, gently bobbing,
Pulse of tide, swishing, throbbing.
Living Waters 'neath me flow,
Gently bobbing to and fro.
For if I plunge dark depths below,
I might not aid that other soul
To reach the Light of Son above
Who bathes us in His light of love.
Floating up there, gently bobbing,
Pulse of tide, swishing, throbbing.
Living Waters 'neath me flow,
Gently bobbing to and fro.
Lord; let me like a buoy be,
Let not thy lamps go dim in me;
Keep me bright all ships to see,
For Lord, this light belongs to Thee!
Floating up there, gently bobbing,
Pulse of tide, swishing, throbbing.
Living Waters 'neath me flow,
Gently bobbing to and fro.
O Lord, make me now a buoy like,
Nor ship, nor man, some reef may strike:
A marker placed to tell the way,
Keep me bobbing all the day.
Floating up there, gently bobbing,
Pulse of tide, swishing, throbbing.
Living Waters 'neath me flow,
Gently bobbing to and fro.
Away up there atop the swell
Anchored to the Rock - ALL'S WELL!
Away up there atop the sea,
Lashed to You, I'm bound, yet free.
