Though deserts pleading for a storm—
A throat that’s parched can only croak
The words I need to say today—
I have to say them now in faith,
’Cause I can’t see the rain around me,
So I obey, and feebly cry
What’s more a plea than a shout of praise:
“Oh thank you, Father, for your love”—
And as I raise my head in praise
I taste Your water on my lips
And feel Your grace poured out on me.
