Enjoy.
An earthy balm filled the atmosphere. It smelled of burning leaves and cool, crisp air. As I harvested candy-red apples from an orange-leaved tree, I started thinking about thanksgiving and all that will happen on that day: the turkey with cranberries, the creamy pumpkin pie, and the aroma of orange and clove potpourri. All the laughing children and sweater clad adults snuggling into a hayride, sipping the crisp sweetness of hot apple cider. The breeze filling the scenery with a confetti of red, yellow, and burnt orange leaves.
My thoughts came back to my basket of red fruit, and I smiled as picked more Jonathans. It’s for certain; fall is my favorite season.
